The Cultural Values for women now and back then are different. Women and even young girls were treated a lot more maturely. Back then when girls were 14 they were expected to get married in the next couple of years. There were a lot more restrictions on women then there are now. Women/girls back then had different expectations. Overall, Women’s Cultural Values have changed.

I thinki they are very different. Women in the Odyssey are expected to do laundry and housework. Today, they are more expected to work outside of the house and bring in money for the family. In the Odyssey, me are the ones who bring the money home and ndo the fun stuff. Today, women are viewed more as individuals and can do more.

I think how women were treated in Homers time and now is very different. In Homers time they make women do all the cleaning and work. They try to protect their virginity until marrige by having them sleep next to other girls. Now not only women have to clean and do work, but men also have to. People also dont try to protect womens virginity and let it be their choice on if they want to wait or not. In Homers time they also picked who the girl is going to marry and had them get married at a young age. Now girls can marry whoever they went and at an older age. Over the many years women were given more freedom to do whatever they want.

Women in ancient Greece were expected to take care of domestic problems and chores. They had little freedom to go about and do their own buisness. Modern day women have many more rights. They can go about and do what they want. They aren't restricted to household duties.

cultural values about women have changed quite a bit. Back then women were expected to do cooking, cleaning and other work around the house. now, most do those things but unlike back then they can get jobs and have more rights. also women back then couldnt speak up against a man. now women can speaqk their mind freely.

Cultural values are very different from Homer`s time from our culture`s point of veiw. One thing is that in Homer`s time, women were considered to only be a love partner for men. They are people who can love in stories. Today, women can do more. They can be heroes. Unlike now, only men can be heroes. They can be similar. Today, women are always a part of a man`s love life. Just like Homer`s time, they can be lovable people.

the cultural values of woman are similar and different from homers time. women back then use to stay at home and work while men went to wars and just sat around being lazy. now most woman still work but so do men. whats different now is women dont get married at the age of 14 like they used to back then. also woman are more classy now then they used to be.

I think that some of the things that have changed in cultural values is that women work more than they did before. I think that society is not officially patriarcal but I beleive that it have very patriarcle tendencies. Some of these tendencies are that men go to war more than women do, and that women usually

I think that the cultural values have changed alot. Back then in the book what odysseus did was viewed as okay. But today if someone did that they would think they're crazy or drunk. The way that people dress has also changed. But then again were in like a different country so I guess obviously there is going to be a difference.

The way Homer portrays women in his books are very different then how women are portrayed now. In Homers books women are sneaky, very intimate, and very sexual. For example Calypso was very sexual in many different scenes with Odysseus and was fairly sneaky with how she dealt with him and kept him on the island. Women now are portrayed in a completely different light. Women are thought of now as being on a similar position as men in some ways. They work, fight in the military and do many things men do. The cultural values of women in Homer's time and now are similar because I noticed that in book: 6 of The Odessey women do most of the house work which includes cleaning and tending to others in the home. Now, women still do that, but they're referred as housewives. It's different because in Homer's time everything that women had to do was made by them or done by hand. In our time technology was made to help our daily lives. Also, women have freedom to actually go out to different places to get things done, without asking.

The Cultural values about women in Homer's time are different from our culture's values about women today in a couple ways. One, is that women in Homer's time only did house chores pretty much, while men went to meetings and did the more fun things. Now adays women have the same jobs as men, sometimes even better! also, men do some house chores, such as cooking. Another cultural value about women that's different now than it was then is that women were known to be much weeker and would never go against men. But now women have the right to say what they wan.
